Standards for Registrants

Registrants under the Hong Kong Institute of Audiologists Limited (HKIA) are subject to the Code of Ethics for Audiologist in Hong Kong.

Registrants under the HKIA demonstrate their technical competence based on their body of knowledge.

Registrants under the HKIA acquire their body of knowledge and skills through meeting the educational and training standards set by the HKIA.

Registrants under the HKIA apply their body of knowledge and skills in their practice of the audiology profession in accordance with the Scope of Practice for Audiologist in Hong Kong.

Registrants under the HKIA have appropriate indemnity cover for their practice.

Registrants under the HKIA are open in communication with service users, by providing clear information to help service users make informed decisions, informing service users about the complaints processes of the HKIA, and adhering to the principles and rules governing the practice of advertising consistent with the Code of Ethics for Audiologist in Hong Kong.

Registrants under the HKIA are open in inter-professional and multidisciplinary collaboration consistent with the Code of Ethics for Audiologist in Hong Kong.
