Registration

Registrants under the Hong Kong Institute of Audiologists Limited (HKIA) are those individuals who have met the relevant registration and clinical experience requirements for audiologists set by the HKIA.

Registrants must have graduated with a Master Degree or above in Audiology in local universities, with clinical practicum included in the postgraduate degree curriculum.

Alternatively, registrants must have graduated with a Master Degree or above in Audiology in overseas universities, with clinical practicum included in the postgraduate degree curriculum, and demonstrate that one can practice in the country where the professional qualification was obtained.

The HKIA will review and verify professional qualifications and experiences of individual applicants. Qualification assessment by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications may be required, at the applicant’s own expense.

Application:

  • will be acknowledged by the HKIA within 1 month upon receipt
  • will be considered by the Registration Committee within 3 months upon receipt

Applicants will be informed about the application result within 1 month after endorsement by the Professional Council.
